Meet local Exercise Physiologist Sophie Petki

Sophie Petki
Sophie graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). She is passionate about empowering individuals through exercise as medicine, using a compassionate and evidence-based approach to help people of all ages and abilities achieve their goals and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Sophie has a strong interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and chronic pain management, with experience supporting individuals with chronic back and neck pain through Pre- and Post-Spinal Surgical Rehabilitation at Brisbane Private Hospital. She also brings valuable experience across neurological conditions from private practice, rounding out a broad clinical skill set she draws on to tailor programs to each client’s needs.
Sophie believes exercise plays a vital role in preventing and managing chronic disease and has a particular interest in healthy ageing, chronic pain management, weight management, and supporting individuals of all ages – including children and women through pregnancy – to build confidence and lifelong healthy movement habits. She is committed to delivering personalised care that empowers every client to move with confidence, improve their wellbeing, and achieve lasting health outcomes.

Outside of Thrive, Sophie loves keeping active by paddle boarding, bike riding & running. She loves scouting a perfect sunset spot, listening to some good tunes, and will dabble in painting in her spare time. She loves the beach & most importantly, spending quality time with family & friends!
